Elementary Neighborhood School Renewal

Project to adjust elementary school boundaries

Bloomington Public Schools is a mission-driven organization that develops in all of our learners the ability to thrive in a rapidly changing world. To this end, we have developed a series of strategies to close the achievement gap, provide effective interventions to students needing extra academic support, and expand or create initiatives that challenge and meet the needs of all students.

In order to position the District to meet our desired future, the School Board has approved the Elementary Neighborhood School Renewal Project, a community-driven process to adjust elementary school boundaries.

Please use this web site to learn more about the project, get involved and stay informed.

School Board adopts new elementary boundaries
The School Board unanimously approved new attendance areas (Map F1) for all elementary schools that will go into effect for the 2011-12 school year. The change in boundaries follows a year-long process to balance student enrollment among elementary schools, create space for new and existing programs, and enhance the district's overall academic program.
